A Health Visitor is a qualified, registered nurse who has completed additional specialist training in the health and wellbeing of families. Health Visitors are especially helpful to families with babies and young children.

Why choose a private or independent Health Visitor?

Every family should be assigned a named NHS Health Visitor following the birth of their baby. However, some parents may feel that the NHS service is inflexible, impersonal or does not meet their family's specific needs. Therefore for many, the opportunity of using an independent, private Health Visitor is a welcome alternative.

My aim

My aim as your personal Health Visitor is to enable your child to meet his or her full potential by providing you with practical, non judgemental support and advice.

I provide an individually assigned health visiting service tailored to meet your family's needs. Some of the services that I provide include; advice & support following your baby's birth, support for baby feeding, weaning advice, understanding and managing children's behaviour, advice on sleeping problems and more.

Why use baby signs or gestures to communicate with children and babies? Using signs and natural gestures helps children understand the meaning of the words you say. Children are often able to communicate with their hands before they talk. Find out more here.
